“Your worldwide experience and expertise in operational and concessions program planning has provided Expo 2000 with great insight in helping us develop the first ever World Exposition in Germany celebrating the new millennium. MR has assisted in our operational planning jointly to provide a unique service for millions of guests.”

~ Bodo R. Steglich
Director of Operations
Expo 2000 GmbH

Hiring and training tens of thousands of employees to staff a World’s Fair or an Olympiad is only one of the challenges met and managed by the MR operations team.

Because a positive consumer experience is critical to the success of any leisure industry business, operational planning and staffing must be a top priority. In many cases, the MR team is responsible for both developing and hands-on implementation of operational plans.

Working on an area-specific consulting basis, or in a broader, managerial capacity, the operations team provides:

Operating Audit / Operational Planning
Complete audit of all project operational elements: operating standards, schedules, staffing, attendance / capacity utilization, operating expenses, and facility requirements; development of pre-opening requirements and budgets, operating policies and standard operating procedures for all project elements and support functions.

Operational Management Systems & Procedures
Development of client specific requirements and procedures for ticketing, attendance reporting, revenue and cash control, inventory control, warehousing, and overall budget and accounting controls.

Operational Staffing and Training
Development of the organizational plan detailing numbers and qualifications of employees needed; recruitment and selection systems and procedures; staff orientation and training programs; employee policies, procedures and standards.
